Qatar's football national team maintained its 89th position in the world on the new FIFA ranking released by the world football governing body on Thursday.
Brazil, who climbed to the top of the rankings for the first time in seven years last month, stayed at the head of the pack, followed by Argentina and 2014 FIFA World Cup champions Germany. Chile and Colombia complete the top five, ahead of France, Belgium and 2016 UEFA European Championship winners Portugal. Switzerland and Spain make up the final two sides in the top 10, while traditional powerhouses such as Italy (12) and England (14) find themselves outside the 10 highest ranked nations.
CAF's best representatives Egypt sit in 19th place, while 2010 FIFA World Cup runners-up Netherlands have fallen to 32nd spot.
